General - The vibrating feeder consists of a fabricated steel trough with bottom liner plates at the rear, forming a reception tray. There is a primary welded assembly of grizzly bars in the centre, and a secondary grizzly section of individual bars, equally spaced across the width of the feeder at the front.
Grizzly Section - The primary grizzly section is a fabricated assembly of longitudinal bars welded to 3 transverse support plates, with an end plate welded across the rear end of the bars. The assembly is mounted on back-to-back channel supports and fixed in position with through bolts and spacer plates. The secondary grizzly section comprises individual bars mounted on back-to-back channel supports with through bolts and spacer plates.
Inertia Drive - The vibrator unit comprises gear-coupled parallel drive for shafts which are contra-rotating and unbalanced by the action of weights attached to the shafts. The shafts are supported at each end by spherical bearings press-fitted into bearing housings which form part of replaceable grease-lubricated cartridges to facilitate maintenance.
Amplitude Adjustment - Each inertia drive-shaft is equipped with a full set of weights on delivery to give maximum vibration amplitude. Where trials or work experience indicate that a reduced amplitude is required, this can be reduced by removing equal layers of secondary weights from each shaft.
